John Henderson
John was born in Devon but has spent most of his life in Cornwall, living in Truro, Falmouth and for many years at Nancledra, a few miles outside Penzance. He studied at the Falmouth and Winchester Schools of Art in the 1960s and then won a two year scholarship to study in Holland.
He still returns frequently to his native Cornwall where he recently exhibited at the Rainyday Gallery in Penzance.
The hedgerow paintings are from the countryside around Nancledra.
